The Lean-to

Points to Know:

-Is good for groups
-Height of the ridgepole should be to the waist of the tallest person.
-Good for being heated by a fire.

-Not for winter without fire.

-Should be accompanied with a fire wall.

The lean-to is one of the most important shelters you will ever learn. It is easy and fast to construct if you have the right materials, so it makes for a great emergency shelter. The firewall should be built opposite to the lean to(on the other side of the fire) to bounce heat into your shelter.
