Hoochie and Shingles

The image above is a good example of two things. First is how to build a hoochie type shelter, and the second is shelter shingling. Here is some more information to get you started:
Hoochie's:
-Good for one person
-Can be warm
-Can be used without fire to keep it warm in the summer in most places
-Quick to build
-Remember that the bigger the shelter, the more cold air inside it.
-When Y-sticks are not available, you can lash your ridge pole to two trees instead.

Shingles:
-Start from the bottom up in layers across
-Try to find a material that is good for wicking water away(like pine bows).
