Saving Water

Saving Water:
  • Don’t smoke or drink alcohol
  • Minimize perspiration by not working out in the sun during hot peaks(normally around noon). Instead, try to get your hardest work done in early morning or sunset, and do smaller tasks(weaving, knotting, bed making) during hot times.
  • Take small sips often. Studies show that more water is absorbed with small sips then sudden big gulps.
  • If you are thirsty, drink. Dehydration and/or sun stroke can be quick killers.
Please note that just being 1-5% less of water then you should be can cause tiredness, loss of appetite, nausea, weakness, fast pulse, and more. Drink when needed. While not being active, you can only live up to an aproximate three day’s without water maximum.

According to the national defense(in 2006) this is the aproximate daily requirement for water by temperature(though note that this chart is designed for soldiers):
Temp(deg C/F)———>24 hr Requirement(L/pts)
35/95———————->5/9
32/90———————->3.7/6.5
29/85———————->2.6/4.5
27/80———————->1.5/2.5
23/75———————->1.1/2
At or below 18/65—->1L/24hrs
